Have you ever stopped to consider just how far we have come in the digital age? What seems to some as only yesterday, for years we were doing a lot more manual work rather than relying on computers and tech for everything. Consider the evolution of cars, for instance. At one time getting from point A to point B was the big thing and here we are today where fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness is of the utmost importance and so many households drive hybrids.

The same holds true for real estate and many of the related transactions. Recently, Deeb Realty engaged in a new service, made available at no cost to all our agents, that allows signatures to be transferred digitally rather than signed by hand and in person. Think about how convenient that is in today’s busy world.

Going from three-copy carbons, to perforated sheets, faxing and printing to even scanning documents for email – the process of signatures and contract signing has come a long way in the past several decades. While some people might say that there is a certain charm to meeting with your clients and obtaining sigs by hand – others would argue that most clients would prefer the most convenient method available. Consider this: with the largest number of buyers ever in the history of our industry turning to the internet and smartphone technology to conduct much of their real estate transactions, why would digital signatures be any different?

Rather than force inefficient and time-consuming age-old ways on our clients of today – why not engage in useful technology that allows them the freedom to conduct their real estate affairs at their own convenience?  For agents the service is invaluable since they can spare time otherwise wasted on chasing clients down to meet in person. We here at DEEB Realty get very excited two times a year when we have our big company sales meetings.  This is the time that we get to look back at the last six months and look forward to the next six months in our business.  We talk about the things that have worked well and how we can harness that information to improve our businesses in the future.

I wanted to share some information with you that was just released our last sales meeting.  We will be releasing a brand-new system that will provide backend CRM (Customer Relationship Management) for our agents.  Our agents will have lead generating websites created for them.  The company will also have lead generation that will allow us to pass these leads out to our agents.

The system will also have over 3000 marketing pieces including video campaigns, e-mail campaigns, flyers, postcards and newsletters.  As you can imagine, our people are very pumped up about this new opportunity to push their businesses forward using these marketing tools.

What may be surprising to you is that we are offering all of this free of charge to our agents.  While the companies that we're working with told us that we could resell this system to our agents for a monthly or yearly fee, we didn't feel right doing that.  You see, we feel as brokers it's our duty to provide our agents with the tools that they need to be successful.  We can only be successful if they are successful!

Saying Goodbye to 2011, With Great Expectations for a Fantastic 2012 Ahead!

After what seemed like could have been a rollercoaster ride, 2011 ended up being an amazing year with overall sales coming in at over 12% from the previous year! When you think about it, after all the negative press about our industry, numbers like that is excellent news! And to top it off, our sales in December were also higher than they have been in over five years.

Celebrating Good Times Gone By and More Yet to Come

To commemorate our superstar agents, we wanted to highlight your achievements and thank everyone with a festive and over-the-top Christmas party this year. So we did just that. Giving away more than $6,500 in cash prizes was a real joy for us this year as we had the opportunity to say “thank you” to the cornerstone of our business – you, our agents.

Not only that – it was with your help that we were able to collectively raise about $10,000 to benefit the local homeless shelters right here in Omaha. Nothing gives us more pleasure than to be serving the housing industry while giving shelter to those in need at the same time.

Thanks to you, our valued team, for the seventh year in a row we have achieved top status in fastest days on market time – something that we continue to shine on year after year.

Absorption rates in December have not been this low since 2006, over five years ago! At 6.6 months of absorption we are looking at a strong trend that will undoubtedly lead to market stabilization sooner than any of us could have predicted just a few short years ago. Couple that with our sales performance in December and you can see that an even stronger market is on the horizon.

Annual Christmas Party

It’s that time of year again where we get to mix, mingle and make merry – all under one roof.  This year’s choice of venue is the magnificent Magnolia Hotel – Omaha amidst the beautiful backdrop of Downtown Omaha.  New to our party this time around is the exciting inclusion of a cash prizes drawing that includes a $5,000 first prize to one lucky agent!

Though we host many social events for our team throughout the year, the Annual Christmas Party is perhaps the most coveted and one that you definitely should not miss!  One of the most rewarding aspects of the night is that proceeds of a silent auction go directly to benefit our preferred charity The Shelter Fund to help homeless citizens through their plight.
